
Eating Healthy is Delicious!
The 3rd Grade students made a weekend menu by themselves that contains the 5 food groups:
Fruits and vegetables, like apples or bananas, give you the vitamins and minerals you need, you should eat them every day.
Proteins: Meat, chicken, fish, beans help our body to work well and stay strong.
Potatoes, grains, rice, pasta: these foods give us energy for our brain and body. Eat whole grains and add fiber. You should eat one every meal.
Oils help the nervous system to stay healthy, try to eat the most nature oils you can like olive oil.
Dairy products: milk, cheese and yogurt have calcium and vitamin D that help your bones and teeth. Eat two or three portions every day.
They also learned that eating healthy and taking care of our health is easy, fun, and delicious!
